The ultimate in country living

This Kiwispan build required windows and doors that would work seamlessly with the overall house design. A large part of the appeal of this house is how the timber cladding and ebony steel complement the surrounding natural landscape so it was important for the windows and doors to tie in with this design, and replicate the angles of the frame perfectly.

With the changeable climate of Taranaki, it was also essential for the windows to offer effective insulation and ventilation. And after seeing this property, it was clear that not only was warmth, comfort, and style important but also maximising the stunning views.

Maximising comfort and functionality

To create the perfect solution for this home, UNO colour matched the joinery to the Ebony Coloursteel and exposed structural beams to tie the design into one cohesive look.

All the windows are clear and double-glazed to make the most of the views whilst still keeping the house cosy and inviting. This is made even more of a feature by the expansive deck which spans the full length of the home and is accessed through sleek sliding doors. These doors also have flush sills to create a safe, flawless flow from inside to the great outdoors.

Another spectacular feature of this house is the large statement windows on the Northern side which are aligned to the angle of the roof. These allow ample sunlight into the living space and create a breathtaking focal point that looks out towards the coast.

Matt Black powdercoat

The powdercoat colour used throughout this project was Matt Black to match the Ebony Coloursteel exterior of the home.

Clear double glazing

Clear double glazing was used throughout this project as the most suitable glass solution for the needs of this family home.

Residential suite

The residential suite was used for this project as the strength of each element ensures long-lasting durability and safety.

Entrance door

A powdercoated entrance door was used at the front of the house as a statement, functional access way, tying in with the exterior design.

Sliding and stacking doors

A variety of sliding and stacking doors, of differing sizes, were used throughout the living area and bedrooms of this home.

Awning window

Fixed and opening awning windows in matt black aluminium joinery made up the majority of the windows used in this project.

Feature windows

Large triangular fixed windows were the show-stealer of this project — elevating the space and maximising light and views.
